Family-run furniture manufacturer Febland Group has announced the appointment of Glen Kirkham as its new Brand & Multi-Channel Marketing Director.
Glen joined late last year and heads up the marketing team as well as streamlining internal processes as the business continues its growth journey.
The Blackpool-based business has stood as one of the UK’s most established furniture manufacturers for more than 70 years. Evolving from a modest upholstery workshop into a fully integrated production house and long-standing wholesaler supplying retailers across the UK and beyond.
Commenting on today’s climate, the company said: “We’re still facing significant pressures in the wholesale sector as demand has been softer and costs continue to rise. It’s a tough combination but we’re working proactively to strengthen our offering and stay resilient.”
Investing in more Bespoke Products
We have seen significant investment within its production facility and demand for bespoke and customised products is on the rise.
“We’re seeing more custom chairs, more wild fabrics, more “Did we really just make that?” moments,” the company said. “Meanwhile, a sprinkling of new products is to be shipped in from the far east including statement décor and lounge furniture.”

Looking toward the future of Febland
Founded in the 1950s and still operated by the same family today, Febland has quietly built a reputation within the trade for dependable manufacturing, distinctive design and the ability to produce at scale.
“Febland’s success has always been tied to its willingness to innovate,” the company said. “Long before velvet artwork became a staple in UK homeware stores, Febland was experimenting with the medium, ultimately becoming one of the first British manufacturers to print full artworks onto French French velvet at scale.
“Today, that pioneering spirit continues across categories – from custom seating to the brand’s ever-growing decorative collections.”
As the business transitions into its next chapter, Febland remains focused on what has always driven its growth: craftsmanship, design-led innovation and dependable wholesale supply.
“For trade partners seeking distinctive, design-forward pieces with the backing of a half-century manufacturing heritage, we remain one of the North West’s most enduring and innovative suppliers”.
