An amazing feat of skill, intuition, art and love of porcelain. This piece was rescued from the dustbin and painstakingly restored by a small business called Chinamend in Lancashire. It was handed over to the restorer Jackie, by Febland Group, the importer, of Blackpool where it is currently on display for £3,500. This price is a reflection of all the long hours and attention to detail that were put into the restoration job which took almost 3 years. The coach is called a “Berlin” and was made by Prof Luigi Fabris of Bassano in 1960. It is known by the more familiar name of the “Cinderella Coach”.
